Muhammad Nanang Prayudyanto (Nanang) is Transportation Specialist, coordinator for Transportation Planning and Travel Demand Mangement, he got his PhD from Civil Engineering Department at ITB Bandung in April 2010 in the field of Transportation Engineering. His main research interest is Public Transport and Travel Demand Management (TDM) to improve travel efficiency, reduce transport emissions and fuel consumption in urban transport in developing countries. He has 23 years in numerous experiences in transportation consultancies in the field of transportation engineering, including transport planning, public transport development, traffic engineering and management, traffic restraint, mass transit, traffic impact and sustainable transport and also actively involved in various research communities in Indonesia and Asia. Before GIZ, he worked for some consultancy firms, from engineer to Director for 12 years in national consultant, PT. Pamintori Cipta, 2 years in the Committee for Acceleration of Infrastructure Development (KKPPI) under Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affair as Knowledge Management and Dissemination, Transportation Specialist for The Institute of Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP) Indonesia, free-lancer for many consultancy projects in the Ministry of Communications, Ministry of Public Works, National Planning Agency, Jakarta Provincial Transportation Board and private projects. Currently he is working for Germany Consultant GIZ (formerly GTZ) as Senior Advisor for National Development Planning Agency and as a research supervisor for Post Graduate students.
